Dear Team and Students,

To streamline our communication and provide a more responsive experience, Deaf Connect is transitioning all Moodle correspondence to a single platform.

Please be advised that we are moving away from the Moodle Mail app (the envelope icon). Moving forward, all official communication within the system will be conducted through Moodle Messages (the speech bubble icon).

Timeline

The Moodle Mail application will be deactivated on Thursday, 19 March 2026, at 3:00 PM (AEST/QLD Time). After this date, the icon will no longer be accessible.

Required Actions

To ensure no data is lost during this transition, we kindly request that you perform the following:

• Audit Your Inbox: Review your current Moodle Mail folders for any essential records.

• Archive Information: Copy and save any important correspondence or attachments to your local device or personal records.

• Outstanding Correspondence: If you are awaiting a response from a trainer or colleague, please ensure all final threads are concluded via Moodle Mail prior to the deadline.

Next Steps

Following the deactivation, please use the speech bubble icon located next to your profile picture for all future messaging. This tool will serve as our primary point of contact for real-time support and collaboration.
